Bulgar Eden BE Post-Tensioning for Chiayi Elevated Rail Project (C611)

Since 2021, Bulgar Eden Enterprise Co., LTD has been contracted to supply its in-house developed BE post-tensioning system for Section C611 of the “Elevated Railway Project at the Urban Area of Chiayi,” planned by the Railway Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications. Our system has been applied across the entire viaduct section stretching from north of Niuchou Creek in Chiayi City to Shuitou Village in Shuishang Township.

Our construction partner, KEDGE Construction Co., LTD—renowned for its proven track record in large-scale infrastructure works—chose the BE system to underscore our shared commitment to excellence in quality and safety.

During the construction phase, both teams adopted a pragmatic, detail-oriented approach: every tensioning operation was meticulously monitored and recorded in real time using professional instrumentation. To date, there have been no quality or safety incidents, a testament to the high stability and reliability of the BE post-tensioning system. KEDGE’s scope of work encompasses the erection of the main viaduct, approach spans, associated drainage works, guardrails, noise barriers, as well as critical temporary sound walls and span-free support systems over the active railway—ensuring that local residents’ daily lives and traffic flow remained uninterrupted.

Looking ahead, upon the opening of Section C611, multiple level crossings within Chiayi City will be eliminated, significantly improving vehicular and commuter efficiency. The outstanding performance of the BE post-tensioning system in this landmark project exemplifies our expertise in bridge prestressing, and we look forward to continued collaboration with KEDGE Construction on future urban rail and bridge infrastructure developments.
