On July 4, 2024, Bulgar Eden Enterprise Co., LTD (BE Post-Tensioning) visited Liuzhou Guiqiao Cable Co., Ltd. in Guangxi, China, for an in-depth technical exchange regarding the cable loosening incident on Taiwan’s Crescent Bridge following the April 3 earthquake. The bridge has remained closed since the seismic event caused stress abnormalities in eight suspension cables, highlighting critical issues in seismic design for bridge structures.
Liuzhou Guiqiao Cable, established in 2010, is a leading high-tech enterprise in cable systems for bridges, with 41 patents and 18 trademarks. It was officially certified as a High and New Technology Enterprise in December 2024 (Certificate No. GR202445000325). During the visit, Bulgar Eden and Guiqiao’s leadership discussed key topics including cable inspection, structural resilience, and repair methods.
