2019-Academia-Industry Partnership: BE Supports Prestressing System Study at NCHU

On December 19, 2019, Bulgar Eden Enterprise Co., Ltd. (BE) partnered with National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) for an academic-industry collaboration to study the “Interaction between Load and Post-Tensioning Prestressing Systems.” The research utilized a single I-beam with four 12.7mm strands, targeting a stress force of 12 tons per strand. Strain gauges were embedded throughout the beam to monitor changes in strain under different stages of prestressing and loading.

BE’s team, led by Chief Engineer Mr. Ted Pan and Engineer Mr. Max Xiao, provided design review, onsite stressing supervision, and technical instruction. Their involvement brought valuable industry expertise into the academic setting and enriched the research quality.

This successful collaboration reflects BE’s commitment to knowledge sharing and technical advancement in the field of post-tensioning. We look forward to continuing our engagement in educational and research partnerships that contribute to the future of structural engineering.
